Lymphatic Drainage Therapy

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) technique not only alleviates pain, but tremendously enhances the healing process from any surgical procedure, especially from any cosmetic procedures like facelifts, tummy tucks, breast enhancements, rear end lifts, rhinoplasty and more.  Additionally, the energy component from the touch of the human hand is soothing and nurturing to the recuperating patient.  This holistic modality is performed in the privacy of your hotel room or home.  We are strict with respect to your privacy and/or any confidential information and do not sell client email/phone lists.

The lymphatic system is a network of vessels and nodes that not only carry a fluid called lymph but also serves as a major component of our Immune System.  When this system is interrupted either by surgery, injury or disease, one of the first thing that becomes evident is a swollen part of the body at or near the site of interruption.  This is where Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) can help although there are many other benefits of MLD.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage was originally developed by Emil Vodder, Phd and his wife Estrid Vodder, ND during the 1930’s.  MLD is a specific and unique manual technique performed with a combination of very light touch pumping and circular movements with consideration to avoid hyperemia.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage is so fantastically beneficial for post op plastic surgery patients that some doctors have mechanical machines operated by staff offered at additional costs.  Best to choose the hands of an educated and trained human for MLD.  Nothing could ever replace the well intentioned human touch.

To the savvy patient of tummy tucks, facial procedures including facelifts, liposuction, breast augmentation/reduction and other surgeries, MLD has proven to be indispensable.  This manual therapy helps reduce the pain, swelling and bruising often associated with surgery.  The healing and recovery is quicker and with better outcomes than without the MDL.

MDL is also super wonderful for the face during facials for rejuvenation, rosacea and acne.

Because The Lymphatic System has blood filtration actions, transports nutrients and plays a vital role in the body’s immune system, it’s an excellent treatment for detoxification which will help with chronic fatigue, allergies and all manner of subtle body aches.  In addition, with regular and consistent monthly treatments, it can serve as an excellent way to strengthen your immune system and keep you healthy.
